The journal Farmacia Hospitalaria is the scientific communication organ of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacists (SEFH), a professional and scientific organization that currently has about 4,351 members.

The Mission of Farmacia Hospitalaria is to support healthcare professionals in sharing their projects, publications, and training programs, and to promote the exchange of experiences.

The Vision of Farmacia Hospitalaria is:

To increase knowledge about Hospital Pharmacy and actions that enhance the appropriate and safe use of medicines and medical devices.

To serve as a tool for exchanging and disseminating scientific knowledge on pharmaceutical practice to improve medication use, safety, and health outcomes.

It is a peer-reviewed, double-blind scientific journal whose objective is to publish advances in the professional development of the Hospital Pharmacy specialty, as well as those related to pharmacological therapy. The journal includes the following topics: Drug evaluation. Quality of life. Measurement of patient-reported outcomes (PROM) and patient-reported experience measures (PREM) in medication use. Safety. Medication monitoring. Drug preparation. Drug administration. Pharmacy Service Management (logistics, quality control). Technologies and information systems in the medication-use process. Medical devices. Patient education. The role of the pharmacist in society and/or in the Spanish Health System. Other topics related to the clinical, scientific, and institutional role of the hospital pharmacist.
