The creation of SEFH’s Advanced Therapies workgroup was driven by a desire to work collaboratively with other workgroups and to meet the great challenges faced by hospital pharmacy.
The Group’s basic areas of action and educational interest are oncology and neurology as those are the areas where advanced therapies have made the most significant inroads.
Its main purpose is to work with other workgroups on the different aspects related to the packaging, manufacturing and preparation of advanced therapies. The premise is to endow hospital pharmacy departments with the educational and procedure standardization-related tools they require to get ready for the introduction of these innovative therapies.
