The FarMIC workgroup is made up of two separate bodies:
- The steering committee: made up by 10 members. It includes a coordinator, a secretary and 8 ordinary members, including a representative of SEFH’s Governance Board who represents the SEFH leadership and facilitates a bidirectional communication channel between the workgroup and SEFH’s Board. The functions of the coordinator and the secretary are defined in SEFH’s workgroup regulations.
- Members’ group: which includes all other workgroup members and provides support to the workgroup’s activities. Any member can join this group.
The steering committee shall renew at least 20% of its membership every two years, either by consensus or at the written request of any member.
The steering committee membership renewal process will be announced via de website or through SEFH’s mailing list, such that any eligible SEFH member may submit their candidacy. The existing steering committee members, including outgoing members, shall elect the new members by consensus or simple majority, based on the candidates’ attributes.
Members who fail to actively participate in the pursuit of the workgroup’s goals may be excluded from participation.
The coordinator and the secretary shall be appointed by consensus of all steering committee members. In the event of a lack of consensus, the election will be made by simple majority. These positions shall be renewed every two years for a maximum term of four years.
One of the ordinary members of the steering committee shall be responsible for managing the workgroup’s website, embedded in SEFH’s website, and shall keep its contents up to date.
