To map the current situation of the hospital pharmacist’s role in Spanish intensive care units.
To draw up a consensus document on the tasks performed by clinical pharmacists in the ICU.
To design a training project addressed to hospital pharmacists and intensivists with the support of the two relevant scientific societies (SEFH and SEMICYUC).
To support the participation of hospital pharmacists in the work of intensive care units.
Medium- and long-term priorities
To prepare a set of guidelines for the reconciliation of drugs in the critical care setting.
To support the implementation of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties’ critical care pharmacy certification program.
To prepare protocols and consensus documents on the most urgent priorities for our discipline: sedoanalgesia, cardiovascular, anti-infectious therapy, renal replacement techniques, intoxication, nutrition, pharmacokinetics, safe administration of medicines.
To develop training and research activities (together with other workgroups and scientific societies).
