We live in a time of constant change that leads us towards an increasingly technological and digital future, inside and outside of hospitals. This paradigm forces us, as healthcare professionals, to readapt ourselves in order to offer healthcare that meets the needs of patients and is in line with current scientific and social advances.
These advances have made it possible to develop technologies and information systems applied to the different processes of medication use, through which we can manage numerous data and improve the quality, efficiency and safety of the patient during healthcare.
Within the Hospital Pharmacy, it is not only essential to evaluate and manage new technologies, but also to understand the new channels of communication with patients, in addition to promoting certain factors of change (organisational, cultural, training and attitude).
In 2024, as a result of the merger of the TECNO and FHusiON groups, the SEFH Working Group on New Technologies and Digital Hospital Pharmacy (DIGIFHAR group) will begin its journey, with the aim of promoting and driving the technological and digital transformation of Hospital Pharmacy through innovation and training in digital skills.
