Antiretroviral treatment has experienced a dizzying development. As a result, the last few years have seen a huge growth in the budget of outpatient units and in the services they offer.
Given the enormous clinical and economic impact of HIV treatment, different sub-specialties were created in most hospital pharmacies in order to meet an ever growing demand.
This has forced pharmacists involved with GIV treatments to share experiences, work hard to stay abreast of the latest developments in this ever-expanding field, and homogenize their work procedures. This is what led a group of hospital pharmacists to create SEFH’s HIV workgroup.
