Presentation

The GHEVI workgroup is an association created under the auspices of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacists (SEFH). The workgroup was established in 2005 on an initiative of a group of hospital pharmacists actively involved in the management of patients with hepatitis C.

The main goal behind the creation of the workgroup was to disseminate the information available on chronic viral liver disease, mainly hepatitis B and C, particularly in the realm of the pharmaceutical interventions performed in hospital pharmacy departments.

In 2021, a decision was made in 2021 to expand the remit of the workgroup to provide a comprehensive view of all liver conditions. As a result, it was renamed GHEVI+.
