MAIN GOALS :
- To make the general public aware of the notion of therapeutic adherence and of the possibilities that pharmaceutical care can offer to improve it.
SPECIFIC GOALS:
- To contribute to the improvement of the healthcare model that underpins the work of hospital pharmacists with a view to optimizing the levels of adherence of the general population and, particularly, of patients seen to by hospital pharmacy services.
- To design and validate and apply tools that may applied by hospital pharmacists, working as part of multidisciplinary care teams.
- To promote teaching and research pharmaceutical activities related to therapeutic adherence in collaboration with other healthcare providers also interested in improving adherence rates.
- To develop an effective communication model together with scientific societies and patient associations with the aim of ensuring optimal medication use and instilling in patients the importance of adherence.
